Your responsibilities
As an automation electrician, you will be part of the maintenance department and a team of 22 colleagues who together are responsible for ensuring stable and reliable production. You report to the maintenance manager and work closely with production, the technical department, and other maintenance personnel.
A large part of the role involves developing and optimizing the company's automation solutions. You work with everything from individual machines to complex supervisory systems and actively contribute to improving production availability, quality, and efficiency.
Your responsibilities include:
* Programming, developing, and managing the company's automation systems.
* Troubleshooting and performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
* Developing and optimizing control and regulation technology.
* Participating in projects and technical improvement initiatives.
* Planning and carrying out maintenance activities.
* Collaborating with production, technicians, and other functions to find long-term solutions.
* Documenting completed work and contributing to continuous improvements.
* Participating in occupational health and safety efforts and reporting risks, incidents, and deviations.
* If needed, participating in the company's emergency response team.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with at least five years of experience in industrial automation who has worked practically with Siemens software and products. You are confident in your competence and enjoy working with troubleshooting, programming, and developing automation solutions in a manufacturing environment. As a person, you are results-oriented and accustomed to working closely with production, with a focus on keeping facilities operational and minimizing disruptions. You work in a structured manner even when the pace is high and have the ability to quickly analyze process errors to find long-term sustainable solutions. You are experienced in collaborating in cross-functional environments, where you naturally communicate with production, maintenance, and technical teams to solve problems and drive improvements. You actively contribute your expertise in daily work and share experiences that strengthen the team's collective abilities. You have a strong safety mindset and work consistently according to applicable procedures and methods, with a focus on ensuring stable, safe, and quality operations.
Requirements for the role:
* Education as an automation electrician, service electrician, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience.
* Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC).
* Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
* Category B driver's license.
* Ability to work shifts.
Meritorious experience includes:
* SCADA systems.
* Regulation technology (PID control).
* Maintenance of machinery in industry, preferably heavy industry.
* Blueprint reading and CAD.
* Microsoft Office.
* Leading or driving projects.
* ESA or other relevant certifications, such as forklift certification, overhead crane certification, fall protection, mobile work platforms, or Hot Work certification.
