Make a difference. Every day. Ängelholm Hospital is a local hospital in Skåne that works closely with Helsingborg Hospital, which is our nearest emergency hospital. In your role as an AT physician with us, you will take a step forward and assume responsibility from the start with the support of good mentorship. This is because we want to create favorable conditions for you to take on your role as a licensed physician and the responsibility that comes with it. DUTIES We welcome 10 AT physicians, with start date 2027-02-15, to Ängelholm Hospital! AT at Ängelholm Hospital is 19 months; nine months in internal medicine and surgical specialties including emergency care and anesthesia/ICU, three months in psychiatry, and six months in primary care. During AT in Ängelholm, you will be placed at both Ängelholm local hospital and Helsingborg emergency hospital. You rotate between departments and the emergency department. In the department, you work together with a senior physician, specialist, or experienced ST physician and perform standard junior doctor tasks under supervision. The final primary care placement takes place in Ängelholm or in nearby municipalities within Ängelholm's catchment area. The AT service begins with a two-week introduction period that includes various training elements alternating with clinical work/introduction together with outgoing AT physicians. The introduction includes, in addition to the introduction week, a three-day team-based training in acute management of critically ill patients. During AT, lectures and regular training days are arranged continuously. You are also offered the opportunity to attend an educational retreat (Regional AT Conference). Each placement has a responsible study director, and you are assigned a personal mentor. You also have the opportunity for a personal mentor who follows you and your professional development throughout the AT period. Working hours include scheduled regular hours, Monday through Friday, as well as on-call duty occurring in evenings, nights, and weekends. During on-call shifts, you as an AT physician are never alone; there is always a licensed colleague on site. Our AT physicians serve an important function in our operations, and you will quickly discover that you are a valued colleague! QUALIFICATIONS We seek someone with a Swedish medical degree or a decision from the National Board of Health and Welfare to pursue AT. Swedish language proficiency equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is required. Applicants with education outside the EU must complete the course in Societal and Constitutional Law with a passing grade before beginning AT service. If you have previous service as a junior doctor in Swedish healthcare, this is considered a merit. We recruit AT physicians with the hospital's future competency supply in focus, and therefore place great emphasis on you having, in addition to formal qualifications, personal maturity, judgment, empathy, and teamwork skills. We also value that you are engaged, proactive, communicative, and have leadership qualities. Local ties are considered a merit. IMPORTANT!
