Communications and Information Department Region Uppsala's Management Office is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. The Management Office is led by the Regional Director and consists of approximately one thousand employees. Our Operations The Regional Archive is the final archive for Region Uppsala's information that should be preserved. We store nearly six shelf kilometers of physical archives, with documents from the late 1700s to the 2020s. We also manage digital archives and work in R7e-arkiv, a shared digital archive solution used by several Swedish regions. Approximately 12 employees work with us, and our workplace is located within convenient walking distance from Uppsala Central Station. About the Position As an archivist with us, you will have a varied and outward-facing role within the archive field. You work with both physical and digital archives and have many contact points, both with Region Uppsala's internal operations and with external parties such as citizens and researchers. In this role, you contribute with support, case management, and expertise in matters relating to archives and information management. The position includes, among other things, ensuring archive deliveries, establishing governing documents, and handling cases relating to the disclosure of public records. You have rotating responsibility for reception and telephone services, handle inquiries, release documents, and conduct confidentiality assessments. You also participate in projects and ongoing administration, where you have the opportunity to contribute to developing and streamlining work processes and routines. Your Qualifications We are looking for you who have an academic degree as an archivist or other education that we consider equivalent. You have relevant work experience in archive and information management, preferably from the public sector. Your experience has given you a good understanding of archive processes, disclosure of public records, and service to internal and external target groups. You have good digital competence and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new systems and ways of working. Experience in organizing and cataloging archives as well as archive care is meritorious. Your Competencies To thrive in this role, you need to be organized, thorough, and service-oriented. You collaborate well, build good relationships, and take responsibility for planning and managing your work independently. The work requires flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new issues. You can prioritize when multiple tasks are ongoing simultaneously, are comfortable meeting with others, and communicate clearly.
