The Regional Archive, which is part of the Archives and Records Management Unit, is now seeking an archivist with a focus on electronic records. The Regional Archive is Region Kronoberg's central archival function and final archive with an important role in ensuring legally sound, efficient, and long-term sustainable information management. The operation is responsible for, among other things, electronic records, preservation and disposal of documents, and provision of archived information. WORK RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as archivist, you will work both strategically and operatively with the region's electronic records and digital information management. You are responsible for issues related to digital preservation, disposal, information classification, and metadata. You will participate in system decommissioning and delivery of information to the electronic archive to ensure that the region's information is preserved, searchable, and accessible over time. Your main work responsibilities will be: • Develop and coordinate the region's work with electronic records and digital long-term preservation • Plan, set requirements, and quality assure digital archive deliveries, and support operations during system implementations, system changes, and system decommissioning • Provide support on issues related to archival legislation, as well as public disclosure and confidentiality • Develop procedures, guidelines, and training initiatives, and provide advice to operations In this role, you will have many contact points and collaborate closely with colleagues in archives and records management, as well as with systems administrators, project managers, IT functions, and other operations within the region. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have a degree in archive science or information science, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working in the archive field and good knowledge of public administration. To succeed in this role, you need to have strong collaboration skills, be initiative-taking, and work in a structured, thorough, and efficient manner. It is advantageous if you have experience in project management, process development, or change management. We also view favorably experience with digital long-term preservation of information and knowledge of practical electronic records management. As a person, you are confident and trustworthy with the ability to create structure and order even in complex matters. You find it easy to build good relationships and collaborate with different professionals while being able to explain and anchor issues in a pedagogical and clear manner. You thrive in a role where you can combine strategic development work with operational implementation and have an interest in developing sustainable solutions for digital information management and electronic records.
