You will be part of the Environmental Analysis Unit which, among other things, runs a number of projects focused on measures in water and wetlands. However, every six months the work takes place in the Nature Management Unit which works with managing protected areas and the state trail system. Your duty station will be at home. It is an advantage if you are based in the southern or western part of the county, such as Arjeplog, Älvsbyn or Arvidsjaur and surrounding areas. About the job From May to October, the work will consist of assisting in and leading seasonal employees who will transport fuel to our projects, fell trees in connection with restoration measures, set up spawning areas for fish in watercourses, build ditch plugs, etc. This work is carried out throughout the county, but with emphasis on southern and southwestern Norrbotten. From November to April you will mark winter trails and be responsible for delivery and handling of materials and wood along the state trail system and in nature reserves. This work is mainly carried out in Arjeplog and Jokkmokks fjälls. The position mainly involves fieldwork in a team of two or more people. The work involves travel within the service area, primarily within the county, and work on per diem allowance will be relevant. The work is in constant development and based on our mission, work tasks may change over time. You therefore need to be able to handle change. At the same time, it gives you opportunities to develop and both broaden and deepen your skills with us. The position mainly involves fieldwork with accommodation in field conditions during working weeks. About you We are looking for you who have: completed upper secondary education or equivalent education that we consider equivalent, experience working independently in the field, experience in work leadership, a driver's license for a passenger car, a driver's license for and extensive experience operating a snowmobile, experience using the computer and telephone as tools, good physical condition. As a person you are results-oriented and have the ability to work independently and in a structured manner with a problem-solving approach. You also have good teamwork skills and contribute to a positive work environment. The work requires accuracy and efficiency in terms of results. It is an advantage if you have: experience with practical work such as clearing, carpentry, fixing machinery, a driver's license for chainsaws, at least A and B, and brush cutters, a driver's license for a car with heavy trailer (BE), experience with all-terrain vehicles or ATVs/moose sleds, experience with government work and familiarity with state administration or other public sector activities.
