Vännäs, together with Bjurholms congregation, forms the Vännäs-Bjurholms parish. A parish with proximity to both city and countryside, forests and rivers. The parish has approximately 11,000 residents. In total, we have about 40 employees distributed across four workplaces.
The parish works according to the motto "Here all of life has a place," which also characterizes our approach to meeting people. The organization is flat and decision-making paths are short.
As a lead church and graveyard custodian, you will work directly under the cemetery and facilities manager, leading, planning, and monitoring ongoing operations at Bjurholms and Bredträsk cemeteries, as well as maintaining and overseeing the church's properties in Bjurholm and Bredträsk. Common tasks include grave digging, maintenance of green spaces, planting, and property and equipment maintenance. You will also be responsible for public contact regarding cemetery operations. Some weekend duty during services and church ceremonies may be included. Since Bjurholms congregation is part of the Vännäs-Bjurholms parish, some duties may occasionally be performed in Vännäs congregation as needed.

The following are highly meriting:
Experience in supervisory positions.
B-driver's license and machinery and operator competence are required. C-driver's license and operator certification for wheel loaders and excavators are meriting.
Comprehensive practical experience in gardening work regarding maintenance and establishment of green spaces.
Experience in property operations and maintenance.
Basic computer skills and some system experience.

The position is a permanent employment where a probationary period may be applicable.
Start date February 1, 2027 or by agreement.
