The Eastern Gothenburg unit is responsible for Gothenburg's eastern districts as well as Partille, Lerum, Alingsås, Vårgårda, and Herrljunga municipalities. The goal of our work is to create full participation and equality for people with the aforementioned disabilities by providing them with support and creating conditions for employment or education. Job Description SIUS stands for Special Introduction and Follow-up Support – a method aimed at supporting people with disabilities in finding, obtaining, and keeping employment. The method is based on individually tailored support, both to the job seeker and to the employer, to create long-term and sustainable employment. As an employment advisor with SIUS focus, you have a key role in contributing to a more inclusive labor market. You work to identify and highlight the job seeker's competence, abilities, and motivations, with the goal of matching these to employers' needs. One of the services may be wholly or partially directed toward our collaboration with the Prison and Probation Service. An important part of your assignment is to actively and proactively work to reach out to employers. You take your own initiatives to establish and develop business contacts, market the Employment Agency's support to employers, and create new employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The work also involves continuously working the labor market within the region where you operate, following up on contacts, and building long-term collaborations with companies and organizations. You work closely with colleagues within the section and with other stakeholders, where together you help more job seekers get the opportunity to step into the labor market. The position involves regular travel within Gothenburg and surrounding municipalities to acquire services and follow up on current employment with various employers. What We Offer The position is a permanent full-time employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period. Work location is Gamlestaden or Alingsås. More About Working With Us Basic Requirements for the Position University/higher education degree of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the earlier system) Alternatively You have been employed as an employment advisor at the Employment Agency and are assessed to have good prerequisites to meet today's requirements for employment advisors And At least 2 years of work experience, a total of work at least 50 percent over a combined 2 years Very good knowledge of Swedish Class B driver's license Additional Merits for the Position Experience with work involving exercise of public authority Experience with outreach employer work and business contacts for the purpose of finding placements for job seekers Experience coaching or guiding job seekers with various types of employment obstacles The state values guide us in our daily work.
