Our Operations Surgical Ward 70D is part of the Surgery and Urology department and provides highly specialized care in colorectal, endocrine, and acute surgery. We are also one of four hospitals in Sweden that provides nationally specialized care with HIPEC for patients with disseminated cancer in the peritoneum, as well as care for patients with endocrine abdominal tumors. With us, you'll meet a broad patient population. We care for both patients undergoing planned operations and patients who need acute surgical treatment. Common diagnoses can be cholecystitis, pancreatitis, ileus, or gastrointestinal bleeding, as well as trauma from falls, traffic accidents, and more. Patients are admitted via the emergency department or as direct admissions from other hospitals. The combination of elective and acute surgery creates an educational and varied work environment where no two days are alike. The ward is located high up in the 70 building in bright and modern facilities with spacious single rooms adapted to patients' various care needs. We are a work group consisting of nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, pharmacists, and other important health professionals who work together as a team around the surgical patient. Our care is based on the Fundamentals of Care framework where we take a clearly patient-centered approach and place the patient in focus. Here you get to make a difference! With us, you'll work in a committed team where we support each other and teamwork is a natural part of everyday life. As a nursing assistant, you work in a team with nurses and are responsible for the patient's basic care, pre- and postoperative care, wound dressing changes, monitoring vital parameters, catheter and drain care, stoma care, and patient mobilization, among other things. Your Qualifications We're looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with a professional certificate. Previous experience working in hospital care is a merit. You have an interest in surgical care and are curious, committed, and want to develop in your professional role. The work requires that you are responsive and have a patient-centered approach, where you see and meet each patient based on their individual needs. You treat both patients and colleagues with respect. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. What We Offer Permanent full-time employment with shift rotation. Trial employment may be applied. Start date by agreement.
