This position is placed within the Children and Education Administration. We conduct statutory operations in the form of preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, and student wellness services. Within the administration's area of responsibility, there is also a music school, youth center activities, open preschool, and the municipality's food service. Together we create the best conditions for student learning! Freja School is located in a residential area in central Gnesta, within walking distance of the train, commuter, and bus stations. Every student from grades 1-9 has their own digital learning tool in the form of an iPad or Chromebook. Google and Vklass are used as organizational support for learning. JOB DUTIES The position as a teacher in adapted school requires great commitment and knowledge of how to help students develop as far as possible within the curriculum for GRAN (Adapted Primary School). As the teacher, you have responsibility for the student's knowledge development. You need to ensure that all students have real influence over work methods, work forms, and teaching content. Therefore, you need to build learning situations where the student's previous experiences and interests are utilized. This requires that you, with your knowledge and competence, can plan, conduct, and evaluate the instruction that you and your colleagues need to provide so that your students develop in their lives and learning. As a teacher, you need to be able to collaborate with other teachers and resource assistants. You conduct daily evaluation of instruction but plan long-term. Your team collaborates with Kometen, our adapted school for older students. You share knowledge and find common paths forward together. At Kometen, two teachers and two resource educators work today. To succeed in your work, you have access to the entire student wellness team's expertise, school leadership's support, and your colleagues' knowledge. Qualifications: You are educated and licensed as a specialist teacher with a focus on intellectual disability. You have good insight into the school's governing documents. You have good ability to create safe communication with both students and guardians. You see possibilities, not obstacles. You are structured and organized. You want to develop your instruction. QUALIFICATIONS You have several years of experience working in adapted primary school and are well versed in the adapted school curriculum. Merits: You can TAKK. Opportunity for training and further education in TAKK is available within the municipality, however. Employment form: Permanent employment.
