The Operations and Maintenance Division is responsible for planning, procurement, implementation, and monitoring of operations and maintenance. In collaboration with other divisions, administrations, and companies, the division contributes to long-term planning, implementation, and monitoring of the city's operations and maintenance. The division consists of five operational areas with associated units.
Job Responsibilities
The City Environment Administration is hiring new infrastructure workers for two construction units: Infrastructure and Ground Maintenance, which work to maintain, build, and construct squares, streets, bus stops, pedestrian and bicycle paths, perform water and sewage work, and work in parks and other outdoor environments for the City of Gothenburg. We are the municipality's in-house contractor for construction and infrastructure work in street and park environments. We will conduct a recruitment process for both units, as the requirements for applying to these positions are the same.
The main tasks involve carrying out projects on behalf of our own administration and other technical administrations within the City of Gothenburg. These projects may include everything from paving and stone laying to various infrastructure work and minor asphalt paving.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have:
Secondary education in construction and infrastructure, or alternatively longer vocational experience and education deemed equivalent
Class B driver's license
Documented experience with infrastructure work
Ability to independently read drawings
Meritorious:
Experience with infrastructure work in street environments
Experience with coordination and leading others
Concrete expertise
Vocational certification
