JOB DUTIES In Ljungby Municipality, we work together across boundaries and strive to build a community where more people want to live and settle. Right now, we are in an expansive phase with construction projects and infrastructure development in full swing. New residential areas, workplaces, and roads are emerging and creating opportunities for the future. We are now seeking infrastructure workers who want to be part of this exciting journey and contribute to Ljungby's continued development. As part of the Street Division, we are community builders focused on infrastructure construction and maintenance. Our mission is to build, develop, and operate the municipality's water and sewage systems, streets, and roads. We also support other departments as needed. As an infrastructure worker with us, you will have varied work. You will play an important role in operating, maintaining, and constructing the municipality's water and sewage systems, streets, roads, and residential areas. You will collaborate with the Street Manager and work supervisors to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and on schedule. During winter, plowing and sanding are part of your duties, while the rest of the year focuses on maintenance and construction work. Work at the Street Division's vehicle pool may also occur. On-call duty and standby are included in the position. Recruiting is ongoing. Start date by agreement. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with experience in infrastructure and ground work with a focus on water and sewage work. It is an advantage if you also have training in construction and infrastructure. You are comfortable using computers for information searches, reporting, and other administrative tasks. A Class B driver's license is required. It is beneficial if you also have a Class C driver's license, forklift certification, and grader experience. It is important that you have good physical fitness, as the work involves being active and mobile for most of the day in outdoor environments. As an infrastructure worker, you are Ljungby Municipality's face to the public. You are expected to communicate well with your supervisors and customers, both internally and externally. For this reason, you need to have a good command of Swedish, both spoken and written. You enjoy collaborating and find it easy to work with others. To succeed in this role, we would like to see that you are solution-oriented, self-driven, and capable of making your own decisions in daily work.
