The Children and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Board and Primary School Board. The Administration is responsible for preschool activities, school childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. Main duties: Working hours 06.30-15.00 (may vary based on needs) The roving cook has a base placement at one unit but works primarily as a resource within the area and responds to absences, vacancies, or acute needs at other units. Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious and varied meals according to the municipality's food policy and guidelines. Ensure that special diets and allergy-adapted meals are followed according to medical certificates and EHT. Quickly adapt to different kitchen routines, methods, and menus. Support kitchens in operation during sick leave or other staffing needs. Maintain good hygiene and food handling in accordance with applicable laws and HACCP. Receive, check, and handle goods deliveries as needed. Perform self-inspections and documentation according to procedures. Contribute to a good work environment and collaboration. Have daily contact with guests and contribute to a positive meal experience. Participate in menu planning and adapt to existing menus. Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and other tasks. Ensure the kitchen is left in good condition after the work shift ends. Prioritize work based on the organization's needs and crisis preparedness. Specific to the roving role: Be flexible and quickly adapt between workplaces. Represent the Meals Sector and contribute to equivalent quality. Maintain continuity during absences. Work independently in different kitchen environments. Travel between units as needed. About you Qualifications: Cooking education or equivalent experience. Experience from large kitchens, preferably in the public sector. Knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP. Ability to cook and bake from scratch. Good Swedish in speech and writing. Computer skills. Ability to quickly adapt to new environments. Meritorious: Experience with special diets. Knowledge of climate-smart cooking. Experience with food data programs (e.g., Matilda). Driver's license and access to a car. Personal qualities: Flexible and solution-oriented. Independent and confident in your professional role. Good collaboration skills.
