About the job
The Department of Business Administration is located at the Department of Economic and Industrial Development (IEI), and most of the teaching and research is conducted within the framework of the Faculty of Philosophy. As a teaching assistant with us, you will assist teachers and researchers in courses and research projects in business administration as needed and by agreement. A large part of your work will be conducted within the framework of an educational project where we are developing new types of case-based teaching with AI support.
About you
To be employed as a teaching assistant, you must be admitted to higher education at the basic or advanced level. We are looking for someone who has:
Requirements
Strong programming skills, for example in Python or equivalent
Experience working with generative AI and large language models (LLM) and integrating them into software
Ability to translate requirements and scenario descriptions into program logic and AI behaviors
Ability to structure and work with complex states, rules, and dependencies in a simulation system
Understanding of how data can be structured, stored, and used in a software system
Experience with systematic testing, debugging, and validation of software
Basic understanding of data security when using external AI services
Meritorious
Experience with AI-based interactive systems, such as chatbots, AI agents, or simulations
Advanced experience in AI development beyond basic use and implementation
The work tasks are varied and can arise with short notice, which requires flexibility and availability at the university.
About the employment
The scope of work tasks and start date will be determined by agreement.
Employment as a teaching assistant is regulated in Chapter 5 of the Swedish Higher Education Ordinance. A person employed as a teaching assistant may perform work in teaching, administration, or participate in research or artistic development work. Employment as a teaching assistant may correspond to a maximum of 50% of full-time.
Salary and benefits
Salary according to LiU's central agreement on teaching assistant salary. The employment is hourly paid.
