About the Operation Are you a general practitioner with experience and/or interest in geriatric medicine? Then perhaps the Osteoporosis Clinic in Sundsvall could be your next workplace! Osteoporosis care in Sweden is evolving. Region Västernorrland is at the forefront with a well-functioning fracture chain since 2019. We have good structure for investigation and treatment, excellent collaboration with primary care, and declining fracture incidence in the region. The Clinic for Geriatrics, Neurology and Rehabilitation has the mandate to provide specialized osteoporosis outpatient care. We are a clinic with broad expertise where the physician's role is central for diagnostics, treatment, and development of the operation. With us, you will receive good introduction to the work under supervision and opportunity for further education. We are seeking a general practitioner to join us. This position is a permanent full-time employment with start date by agreement. Responsibilities - Interpretation of bone density measurements - Writing reports with diagnoses - Providing treatment and follow-up recommendations - Working at the clinic for patients identified through the fracture chain, referred patients, and patients undergoing investigation - Collaboration with DXA operators and clinic staff - Responding to consultation questions from primary care and other specialties - Managing anabolic osteoporosis treatment for patients with severe osteoporosis Qualifications We are seeking someone who - Is a licensed specialist physician in general medicine - Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing - It is a merit if you - Have worked with advanced osteoporosis treatment - Have work experience with geriatric medicine and in outpatient care with medical imaging For success in this role, we believe you have these personal qualities - Self-reliant - Good judgment - Ability to collaborate - Organized Region Västernorrland With approximately 7,000 employees and over 200 professions, Region Västernorrland is responsible for several of the activities most vital for residents' ability to participate in society.
