We're now looking for an AI/ML-oriented backend developer at a fast-growing Swedish AI consulting firm where you'll work hands-on with modern AI solutions in real customer projects. Here you'll combine backend development with techniques like LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI, while working closely with and receiving support from senior AI architects and Tech Leads. ABOUT THE ROLE As an AI/ML Backend Developer, you'll become part of the consulting team and work on customer projects developing backend services, APIs, and technical infrastructure that enable AI functionality. The role is at Level 1 and is aimed at you if you're still relatively early in your developer career. You don't need previous professional experience with AI or machine learning. However, we're looking for someone with a solid foundation in backend development, curiosity about AI, and a desire to develop quickly in the field. You'll work closely with senior AI architects and Tech Leads and have the opportunity to gradually take on greater responsibility in both development and technical discussions and customer projects. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and maintain backend services in Python, for example using FastAPI. Build and further develop APIs that enable various types of AI functionality. Work hands-on with integrations against LLMs and gradually develop your skills in RAG and agentic AI. Work in modern cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP alongside senior developers and architects. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and efficient development workflows. Participate in technical discussions about architecture, requirements, and solution design. Collaborate with senior colleagues and gradually take on greater technical responsibility in customer projects. WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO Have approximately 3–5 years of experience in backend or software development, where relevant internships and junior developer roles can also be counted Have practical knowledge of Python, or alternatively a strong technical foundation and the ability to quickly get up to speed with the language Have a basic understanding of REST APIs, databases, and cloud services Have a genuine interest in AI and machine learning Preferably have experimented with LLMs, RAG, machine learning, or similar through your own projects, studies, or previous work Have relevant higher education or university education in computer science, IT, or equivalent experience Communicate well in English Knowledge of Swedish is a merit.
