DUTIES
Plan, implement, document, and follow up on pedagogical work based on the preschool curriculum.
Create a safe and inclusive environment where each child has the opportunity to develop according to their needs and circumstances.
Actively use and strengthen the Sámi language in daily operations.
Integrate Sámi culture, traditions, and perspectives into teaching and preschool activities.
Stimulate children's language development through play, conversation, storytelling, singing, and other pedagogical activities.
Encourage children's curiosity, creativity, independence, and desire to learn.
Observe and document activities and contribute to systematic quality work.
Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the development of pedagogical operations.
Maintain good and professional dialogue with children's guardians.
Participate in team meetings, planning, professional development, and other shared activities. Responsibility for the department's systematic quality work
QUALIFICATIONS
Holds a preschool teacher degree and is qualified/certified as a preschool teacher.
Has good knowledge of the preschool curriculum, mission, and responsibilities.
Has pedagogical competence and can plan, implement, document, and follow up on teaching.
Can translate the curriculum's objectives into practical pedagogical work with children.
Has good knowledge of Sámi, both orally and in daily pedagogical work.
Can use Sámi actively with children throughout the day, for example in play, conversation, meals, gatherings, singing, and other activities.
Has knowledge of Sámi culture, history, traditions, and way of life.
Understands the significance of the Sámi language for children's identity, sense of belonging, and cultural development.
Wishes to contribute to preserving, strengthening, and developing the Sámi language for future generations.
Can create pedagogical activities where Sámi language and Sámi perspectives are a natural part of the operations.
