Description Social Administration Hisingen is one of four social administrations in the City of Gothenburg. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for the residents of Hisingen. The Adult Units consist of two units, Adult Unit 1 and Adult Unit 2. Here work 24 dedicated social workers, four senior social workers, and two unit managers. We strive for a strong sense of community and good cohesion within the units. We take responsibility, help each other, and support one another. Close and trusting leadership is prioritized. We are now seeking a Senior Social Worker for authority functions with adults at Adult Unit 2. The units are responsible for work related to harmful use and addiction within individual and family care on Hisingen. This includes handling applications for support/care and treatment, notifications of concern regarding harmful use and addiction, LVM handling, and assistance housing for the target group. The unit is also responsible for supporting individuals in leaving a criminal lifestyle and planning interventions following completed imprisonment. We strive to maintain a reasonable caseload that enables quality work and time for recovery. The unit actively works toward a good work environment, and the administration offers wellness benefits. Work Tasks As a Senior Social Worker, your primary task is to lead and distribute daily work and to provide methodological guidance, both individually and in groups. This can involve implementing new work methods and monitoring research that is important for the unit's development. The current position means you will become Senior Social Worker for one of the teams at Adult Unit 2. You will work closely with your unit manager on matters related to follow-up, statistics, quality, and operational development, and you will be part of the unit's management group. You should help the unit achieve its goals in terms of both budget and other political objectives, and contribute to the unit's operational development. You will work closely with your fellow senior social workers at the unit. Furthermore, you will represent the social administration in, among other things, matters decided in Administrative Court and Court of Appeal. Your work tasks also include introducing new employees. For us, it is important to stay updated on new laws and guidelines, focus on our work on legal certainty and possess legal knowledge, and have high expertise in all of our subject areas. We are involved in the city's work both in housing and in addressing harmful use and addiction, but it also involves collaboration and cooperation with other units within the department and within the administration. You will participate in various city-wide working groups. Qualifications We are seeking someone with a degree in social work and several years of experience in authority functions in an adult unit. You need to have good knowledge of current legislation and the guidelines that govern authority functions in the adult sector. It is meritorious if you have previous experience in leadership. You are good at and get energy from contributing to others' learning and can create conditions for learning to occur. You have a solution-focused approach where you help move forward in complex cases. As a person, you are calm and confident in pressured and difficult situations. You can make objective and well-grounded decisions despite time pressure. You possess personal maturity, competence, and a clear communication style. You have a good ability to collaborate and see the advantages that cooperation can provide. You will cooperate both internally and externally, so it is important that you are comfortable establishing and maintaining good relationships. The work requires that you can organize and distribute your time between collaboration, administrative tasks, and support to the social workers.
