About the Job Location: North of Uppsala (between Björklinge and Storvreta) Employment Type: Part-time, 10-50% Work Hours: Mostly weekday daytime, but afternoons/evenings and weekends may also occur Description We're looking for someone with a pedagogical approach who wants to work with a 15-year-old girl at school and at home. The job involves being the girl's support in all daily situations. The girl is cheerful and energetic, with clear preferences. She has multiple disabilities and is learning to walk and communicate using pictures and sign language. She loves school, especially her classmates, sports, and when her teacher visits. At school, she needs someone who can help her engage with lessons in an interactive and playful way so she can get the most out of her education. At home, she enjoys nature walks to watch animals or vehicles, rough play in abundance, and always says yes to jumping on the trampoline or swinging. She loves hearing you read aloud or singing together. Using the iPad is another favorite activity. She receives tube feeding and inhalation treatments, and sometimes uses oxygen at night as needed. You'll have the opportunity to see both yourself and the girl grow, and we can offer competitive compensation for the right person. Requirements • Ability to master and understand Swedish language both spoken and written • Good initiative and ability to work independently • Physical ability to assist with mobility transfers, such as in and out of a wheelchair (assistive devices available) • Criminal background check for working with children with disabilities will be required Merits • Creativity and ability to read and adapt to different situations • Driver's license and access to a car as the family lives approximately 15 km from Uppsala with limited bus connections aligned with work hours and several kilometers to the nearest bus stop • Experience working with children with disabilities • Experience in educational work or education in pedagogy We Offer • Competitive compensation • All necessary introduction and training to make you feel confident in your role • Opportunity to work in a pleasant and responsible team environment • A dynamic work environment where you have opportunities to develop The position also includes covering for others during illness and absence.
