We are now seeking female personal assistants for a 20-year-old woman who lives in her own apartment in Skärholmen and has extensive needs for support and supervision in her daily life. This role is suitable for you if you are confident, stable, and responsible, and have knowledge and experience with autism, intellectual disability, and challenging behavior. You need to be able to remain calm even in difficult situations and work preventatively to create security and reduce stress. About the Role The client has autism combined with moderate intellectual disability. She has no developed speech and communicates through sounds and images, among other ways. The client is very sensitive to changes and new environments. When she becomes stressed or anxious, she can react strongly and display challenging behavior, including self-injurious behavior. As an assistant, you need to be attentive to early signals, use low-intensity approaches, and be able to prevent and redirect situations before they escalate. A large part of the work involves creating a stable, calm, and predictable daily routine.
