She enjoys spending time with family, friends, and especially her grandchildren, as well as being in the garden planting and taking photographs. Shopping, browsing stores, and having coffee are appreciated activities. When opportunity allows, she enjoys baking her own pastries or occasionally taking a car trip for an outing. She requires assistance with most aspects of daily living, such as support with getting dressed, cleaning, personal hygiene, meal preparation, and more. The client needs patient assistants who are also direct and clear in their communication, both verbally and through body language. The work tasks can be highly varied and involve assistance both inside and outside the home, which places high demands on your flexibility. Working hours are scheduled during daytime/evening with work also on weekends. Male Personal Assistant Temporary Position and Hourly Relief Staff

We are now seeking a personal assistant who is positive and flexible with a professional approach. For us, it is very important that our members receive good quality assistance, and you will be an important piece of the puzzle. You are calm and confident, and you dare to be clear. Previous experience working with people, professional experience in care and support, and/or education in the field is a merit. Experience working with individuals with autism is highly desirable! Most importantly, however, you have an interest in working with people, and ultimately it is personal suitability and your personal chemistry with the member that matters. The member you will be working with is a man born in 1992 with diagnoses of infantile autism and intellectual disability. He lives in his own apartment in central Eskilstuna and has assistance around the clock. The member enjoys taking walks, listening to music, and watching sports on TV. You will be part of the member's everyday life, with all that entails. Work duties include tasks such as cooking, cleaning, support with dressing and undressing, as well as participating with the member in various activities. You will be active support in creating structure and predictability in daily life. For the member's wellbeing, it is important to have a secure and stable existence, as anxiety can lead to acting-out behavior. Otherwise, this is not physically demanding assistance. The member does not speak, but understands most of what others say. Some sign support is used to facilitate communication. The temporary position is approximately 89% and shifts are arranged as 24-hour shifts with approximately 3.5 hours on-call per night. We are also seeking relief staff who can fill in both on short notice and for planned absences. Start date as soon as possible.
