The client lives with ALS and needs support in daily life to live a safe and independent life. As a personal assistant, you will become a very important part of another person's life. The work is not just about practical help – it's also about creating security, presence, and quality of life. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference every day by helping the client continue to live life on their own terms. The tasks vary and may include personal care and mobility assistance. I'm expanding my team and am therefore looking for one additional assistant. I have a syndrome called Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome. This means I have an intellectual disability, epilepsy that is under control, a heart condition, back issues, etc. Job duties: Help with everyday tasks such as hygiene, getting dressed, feeding and administering medication through a feeding tube, as well as wheelchair walks, equine therapy, trips to the swimming hall for rehabilitation training, outings with family, and other indoor and outdoor activities. You should be comfortable in a school environment since I need to bring my assistant with me there. Good physical condition is an advantage since there is some lifting involved in the work (assistive devices are available).
