To be suitable for this assignment, we have the following requirements: - Woman 20-40 years old - Responsible, attentive, honest and empathetic - Good teamwork skills, as this is a dual assistant position - High work ethic - Good physical fitness, with no issues with back, knees, or shoulders - Non-smoker The client lives in her own apartment in Hammarby Sjöstad and has significant care needs due to multiple disabilities. Since you will work extensively with communication and serve as her voice, as she does not have her own speech, it is important that you can speak, write, and express yourself well in Swedish. Music and singing are important parts of her daily life, so you should be able to let loose and sing with her; it is very helpful to maintain a playful spirit. Other activities she enjoys are outdoor walks and visiting museums and shopping centers. Work tasks include assistance with meals, personal hygiene, mobility assistance and help with exercise, and household chores. This is physical work, so you should have no issues with your back, shoulders, or knees, as the client needs help with gait training and other mobility assistance. Since you work in a dual assistant team, it is important to be able to collaborate with everyone in the group, and we place great emphasis on personal chemistry with the client. Thai-speaking personal assistants wanted! I am a woman with a neurological condition that has affected me for the past 16 years. I live in the southern part of the city, near subway line 17, with my family. I come from Thailand and Thai is my native language. I enjoy cooking Thai food, watching TV, and listening to music together with my assistant. During the summer, I like to go on walks outdoors, and sometimes when I have the energy, we can take walks to pick mushrooms on the way to the forest. My condition severely limits my physical functions. I communicate via a tablet and can use voice control if something isn't working correctly. I have a ventilator that helps me breathe properly, and I use it most of the day. Now it's time to recruit new staff. I'm looking for a woman who can ideally communicate in Thai. Job Responsibilities Since I cannot use my own muscle strength, I need help with all daily tasks. I use a wheelchair. I cannot chew and swallow, so I receive food through a feeding tube directly to my stomach (PEG). I communicate via writing on a tablet and through eye contact. You will assist me at home, on shorter or longer walks, and with errands such as doctor's appointments. At night, the focus will be on staying awake and helping me with position changes so I can sleep comfortably. I need help with personal hygiene, personal care, toilet visits, dressing and undressing, transfers (ceiling lift available), food and medication intake, household tasks, and exercises to maintain and improve my functions. Qualifications I'm looking for someone who is ambitious and has a will of steel—someone who wants to get to know me and my needs. As a person, you are calm, honest, organized, thorough, and reliable. You should have a big heart, and most importantly, you must have great patience. You are interested in people and communication. You make connections easily and learn quickly. Having worked as a personal assistant or in a similar role is a plus, but not required. I have assistants and family members who will be there to teach and support you. Employment Terms Working conditions are part-time or full-time. Work hours are 07:00 - 15:00, 15:00 - 21:00, 21:00 - 07:00. You must be able to work night shifts a few nights per month.
