Qualifications Post-secondary education in security, technology or equivalent field, or equivalent documented experience Several years of experience working with technical security systems Documented experience with access control, CCTV, access control systems, burglar alarms, perimeter protection or similar security solutions Experience with troubleshooting, operation and management of critical technical systems Experience independently driving security-related improvement initiatives or projects Good experience with documentation, follow-up and structured security work Excellent command of Swedish and English Merits Experience in a leading or coordinating role within security Experience with security work in data centers, industry, energy, defense or other critical infrastructure Experience with systematic fire protection work (SBA) Experience with fire alarms, suppression systems and authority-related security work Certifications or training in security, fire protection or risk management Experience working in operations with high demands for compliance, availability and physical security Additional information You will report to the Campus Director. Senior Maintenance Technician - Electrical

EcoDataCenter is building one of Sweden's new megadata centers in Borlänge – and the organization to operate it. We are now seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician Electrical who wants to be there from the start and set the standard for how we work with electrical systems, maintenance, and safety. This is a rare opportunity to not just work within the structure, but to help create it. About the Role You will take a central role in ensuring stable, safe, and efficient operation of the facility's electrical systems. The role is largely coordinative – approximately 70–80% involves planning, preparation, and follow-up – but you are also operationally active, moving between the desk and the technical work. The workday begins with a morning meeting where you review work orders in MaintMaster, our maintenance system. You plan, prioritize, and drive work from start to finish, both preventive and corrective measures such as switchgear service, backup power and UPS testing, and work on high and low voltage systems. You prepare work by developing methods, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring proper conditions, often with planned outages, customer communication, and contractor coordination as part of the process. You are responsible for work documentation and ensure that everything is carried out according to our procedures and safety requirements. At the same time, you are operationally active in the facility. You troubleshoot, perform simple installations and inspections, and are the one who responds quickly when needed or when you need to verify status on-site. You continuously monitor the facility's status via BMS (Building Management System) and PME (Power Monitoring Expert), manage alarms, and drive corrective actions on deviations so problems do not repeat. As the campus grows, the volume of preventive maintenance increases – which places ever-higher demands on structure and prioritization. Your main responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and follow up maintenance work in the maintenance system • Coordinate contractors and ensure that work is carried out according to procedures and safety requirements • Manage work orders, deviations, and follow-up in MaintMaster • Perform operational monitoring and analyze alarms via BMS and PME • Participate in troubleshooting and practical work on electrical systems (high/low voltage, backup power, UPS – uninterruptible power supply) • Ensure electrical safety and compliance with work permits (PTW – Permit to Work) • Contribute to developing procedures, work methods, and structure as the facility grows Who Are You? You have experience in electrical work and are accustomed to taking responsibility in environments where safety and operational reliability are critical. You thrive in a role where practical work is combined with planning, documentation, and coordination, and you understand that much of the job is about structure, not just being out in operations. You work methodically, take no shortcuts, and ensure that others do the same. You are self-directed and solution-oriented, and you collaborate easily, both with colleagues and with the contractors you coordinate daily. We welcome applicants from industry, energy, healthcare, or property management with critical operations; a data center is an environment you will learn from us. Qualifications • Training as an electrician or equivalent experience • Several years of experience in operating and maintaining electrical systems • Experience planning, preparing, and following up work • Good understanding of electrical safety – experience in mission-critical environments is advantageous but not required • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Merits • Experience from data centers, industry, energy, healthcare, or other environments with high availability requirements • Experience with high voltage, backup power, UPS, or switchgear • Authorization A • Experience with maintenance systems, BMS, PME, or similar • Experience coordinating contractors Other Information You will report to the Maintenance Manager Electrical. This position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period. Placement on-site in Borlänge. As part of the recruitment process, we conduct background checks for final candidates.
