The duties of a prison guard consist of securing the facility, escorting vehicles or persons within the prison, presenting and escorting incarcerated individuals. Members of the sentence execution department oversee compliance with discipline and order among incarcerated persons, ensure adherence to laws and the prison's internal regulations. No experience? No problem! A high school diploma is all you need, and instructors at the Prison Service Academy's professional course will prepare you for service even without prior experience. You will learn laws, regulations, basic psychology, procedure training, self-defense, and firearms handling and weapons knowledge. Weekly work hours: 37.5 h. After 15 years of service, entitlement to an annual 14-day wellness stay.
