The State Forest Service announces a competition for the position of Forest Ranger in the Zante District of the Tukums Forestry of the Central Forest Management for an indefinite period. Requirements for candidates: - Compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law; - Bachelor's degree or first-level higher education in forestry; - Ability to use navigation equipment and forestry measurement instruments; - Ability to work with information systems; - Knowledge of administrative procedures; - Skills in office management and official document preparation; - Category B driver's license permitting operation of vehicles with manual transmission. Main job duties: - Practically supervise compliance with regulatory acts governing forest management, forest and environmental protection, hunting, and fire protection in the designated territory, and assess the effectiveness of their implementation; - Know the designated territory, using GPS receivers for work; - Know the hunting districts in the supervised territory and maintain the hunting agreement area register; - Participate in forest fire detection, carry out forest fire containment, elimination, and monitoring; - Prepare administrative acts, make decisions on initiating administrative proceedings, and impose administrative penalties.
