We work preventively with support, services, and public authority functions for children, youth, families, adults, elderly, and people with disabilities. Support and Prevention Operations is responsible for investigating and deciding on services within elderly care, in accordance with current legislation. The office is centrally located in Huddinge Center, close to commuter trains and the bus station. The Elderly Care Public Authority Unit (ÄO) is characterized by commitment, collaboration, and drive. About the Position As a case manager at the Elderly Care Public Authority Unit, you investigate and decide on services according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and work to follow up on decided services. As a case manager, you are responsible for investigations regarding support for elderly people with disabilities. The work is independent and you have your own authority regarding several services. Collegial meetings are held every week for coordination and support in the work. In support of public authority functions, colleagues, group leaders, managers, and legal counsel are available in daily work. Who Are You? We are looking for you with a degree in social work or another comparable university education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience in meeting elderly people with various disabilities and experience with public authority functions are merits. You have good knowledge of current legislation, experience with documentation, and the ability to express yourself well orally and in writing. To be successful in this work, you must be stable and confident, contribute to a good cooperation climate, and be empathetic and clear in meeting with service users. About the Job The Reception Unit's primary work tasks are to offer our Huddinge residents a way into the section within the framework of preliminary assessments. You can turn to the Reception Unit if you want to apply for support based on substance abuse problems, mental disability, and/or domestic violence, or if you want to report a concern for someone. The Reception Unit is responsible for receiving, handling, and assessing new reports and applications. Determining municipal residence is a large part of the work. Your Profile You have a degree in social work and preferably have experience with statutory authority from one or more of the target groups that the Reception Unit works with. The work requires sensitivity to the individual's needs and involves close cooperation with colleagues, other units, and professions.
