As a nurse in the dialysis unit, you will work with hemodialysis with a focus on utilizing the patient's self-care abilities. You will be the contact nurse for some patients and will work with patient consultations, team rounds, contact with relatives and other care staff. The dialysis unit is an outpatient clinic with 10 stations. We are open Monday through Saturday. We are part of the medical clinic specialized care and primarily receive patients from the northern part of the county, but we work closely with other dialysis units in the region. We are a clinic that provides blood dialysis for patients with reduced or absent kidney function. Treatment is usually performed three times per week and takes approximately four hours. We work to utilize the patient's self-care ability and participation so they can live as good a life as possible with chronic illness. Job Responsibilities As a nurse with us, your main task will be to perform dialysis treatments. The work also includes basic and specific patient care. Currently, each nurse is responsible for 2-3 patients. For us, it is important to develop care to make care for kidney patients even better. The introduction includes 8 weeks with a clear training plan and dedicated supervisors so you become comfortable in your new role as a dialysis nurse. Even after your introduction, there is always close contact with experienced colleagues. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. As a person, you are flexible and positive and interested in technology and person-centered work. Furthermore, we would like you to have an interest in working with development and can contribute well to our development work. You can work both independently and in a group and have good communication skills, both with our patients and colleagues.
