Your Role The position will be located at Komvux Kista, which has SFI levels 2 and 3, basic courses in Swedish as a second language, English and mathematics, as well as an upcoming combined training program towards Support Assistant. This position also includes evening work and a large portion of student administration. Your tasks include, among other things: • Guiding students through individual counseling conversations and group guidance. • Providing information about admission and eligibility requirements, professions, labor market, and study financing both verbally and in writing. • Actively participating in the school unit's support team based on your expertise. • Planning content and participating in admissions, course start and introduction. • Planning and participating in open houses and fairs. Your Competence and Experience We are looking for someone who has: • a career and academic counselor degree • several years of experience working as a career and academic counselor in adult education • experience working in a team with other career and academic counselors • good knowledge of English and good digital skills • solid knowledge of adult education regulations as well as relevant laws and ordinances, including GY25 and other relevant governing documents It is meritorious if you have: • experience working in a cross-professional group around student health work • experience working with student administration You have the ability and willingness to develop working methods based on the target group's needs. Currently, 50% of the time will be at our sister school Husbygårdsskolan. Your primary task is to work with students in our upper secondary level. Together with the principal, assistant principals, special educators, school nurse and school counselor, you will form the school's student support team. In your role as career and academic counselor, you will work with professional guidance conversations. You will work with both individual guidance and group guidance. The work involves close collaboration with teachers and other staff. Furthermore, the role includes planning and conducting information sessions in classes and for parents/guardians. To ensure the school's mission according to the curriculum regarding career and academic guidance as a school-wide responsibility, close collaboration is also required between the career counselor, principal/school leadership, teachers and other staff.
