Welcome to Us Kista Elementary School is a multicultural grades F–9 school with integrated adapted elementary education for grades 1–9. The school has approximately 710 students and 140 employees, distributed across two school buildings in direct connection to Kista, one of Europe's largest high-tech areas. Our teachers have high qualifications, and we have a well-functioning student health team that works both promotively and preventatively. We work with IT-adapted support in instruction where students have access to their own computers, and language development and mathematics are prioritized focus areas in our pedagogical work. Students are offered organized homework help and after-school activities in the afternoons. The school is in an exciting phase of development within the framework of Collaboration for the Best School (KSBS), where we systematically develop instruction, classroom leadership, and comprehensive student health work. Read more about us: http://kistagrundskola.stockholm.se Your Role Kista Elementary School is seeking an experienced and qualified Physical Education and Health teacher for grades 7–9 for a full-time parental leave substitute position during the fall semester 2026. The assignment includes instruction in Physical Education and Health as well as mentorship in grade 8. You will be part of work team 8. The role includes, among other things: planning, implementing, evaluating, and ensuring high-quality instruction that creates context for the student conducting varied instruction that includes both practical and theoretical components to create understanding among students responsibility for planning, instruction, documentation, assessment, and evaluation of the groups you teach serving as a mentor in grade 7 and, together with the work team, creating a safe and clear learning environment participating in a work team and subject team where you collaborate with colleagues and are an important part of collegial learning, led by senior teachers and lead teachers contributing to the school's collective work on classroom leadership, study conduct, and accessible learning environments Interviews are ongoing, so please submit your application as soon as possible. Your Competence and Experience We are looking for you who have high expectations for students' goal achievement, sound pedagogical insight, and are clear and engaged in bringing out the best in students. You who are applying: are a licensed teacher with qualifications in Physical Education and Health for grades 7–9 have experience working as a teacher, preferably at the middle school level have experience with digital working methods as a strengthening tool in instruction are well versed in the curriculum and the school's mission and plan your instruction based on Lgr22 You are goal- and results-oriented and plan varied and differentiated instruction that supports students' goal achievement. You have the ability to design instruction in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into your students' results and needs, and structure and adapt your instruction so that a safe and adequate learning environment is created. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others. You are confident, stable, have self-awareness, and are a clear leader in the classroom. You find it easy to build relationships and see collaboration with students, colleagues, and guardians as a natural success factor in your work. You value and create good conditions for collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues, and plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other assignments in an efficient manner.
