Long-term Substitute Teacher for our Waldorf Preschool Riddarsporren in Visby
Long-term Substitute Teacher for our Waldorf Preschool Riddarsporren in Visby From November 1st to June 30th, 2027 in a group with children ages 2.5-6 years with possible opportunity for extension. The position is 72.5% (29 hours per week) Monday-Wednesday and Thursday afternoon/evening with one and a half hours of meeting time until 18:00. You will work in a group of 15 children with one preschool teacher and two resource pedagogues. We currently have a total of 33 children, distributed across four groups ages 1-6 years. We offer lunch, wellness allowance, and allowance for work clothes. We are looking for someone with experience who feels confident and at home in a preschool environment, preferably with Waldorf preschool teacher training and/or interest in our pedagogy. It is also valuable if you have experience working with children with special needs. You should be positive and organized and able to guide children through the daily rhythm, feel comfortable learning to read/tell stories, sing, recite rhymes, lead gatherings and theater, paint and bake with the children. Our preschool is located on the upper floor of an old building with a beautiful and vibrant garden in the A7 area. Working with us also includes doing household tasks and tending our garden, where we compost and grow vegetables, berries, fruits and flowers, as well as maintain our lawns. Indoors, our rooms are designed in accordance with Waldorf pedagogy principles. The whole environment inspires and helps children toward imaginative play and a harmonious daily rhythm with alternating qualities of indoor and outdoor activities. Here we educators are part of that whole, where we serve as role models for the children in our way of being and caring for our preschool.
