Department Description The Functional Support Department provides support and services to children, youth, and adults with disabilities. We work based on LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and the Social Services Act to strengthen individuals' independence, security, and participation. The department encompasses day activities, housing with special services, residential care for social support, support and service housing, short-term housing for children, leisure activities, relief and companion services, and personal assistance. Job Responsibilities Support and Services is an LSS residential facility where residents live in their own apartments and, instead of around-the-clock on-site care, support is planned as specific interventions together with the residents. The job responsibilities include assisting residents in daily tasks such as meal preparation, shopping, household maintenance, leisure activities, etc. The work team is flexible and adjusts work when needs change. Every 6 weeks there is a Team Meeting where staff, Unit Manager, nurse, and pedagogical team collaborate. The approach is low-affect interaction and AAC/picture support is used in daily work. The role also includes assignments as a contact person where you, together with the resident, other professionals, and representatives, establish/follow up and work based on the resident's implementation plan. The department uses the documentation system Pulsen Combine. Qualifications You have nursing assistant training or other training that the employer deems equivalent. Knowledge and experience within the functional disability field is advantageous. Flexibility, good interpersonal skills, and the natural ability to build good relationships are highly valued. You should be able to work independently and make decisions while also being able to collaborate well with other staff. Tjärnö Marine Laboratory together with R/V Skagerak is part of Gothenburg University's marine infrastructure. The laboratory is located one mile outside Strömstad in northern Bohuslän adjacent to Kosterhavet National Park. It is a large and modern research station with various facilities for experimental work indoors and outdoors, advanced laboratories, a smaller research vessel R/V Nereus, several smaller boats and underwater vessels, as well as teaching facilities, offices and meeting rooms. The station also has a restaurant and accommodation with capacity for 100 people, and a marine aquarium. Approximately 40 researchers from Gothenburg University have their permanent workplace at Tjärnö, and many researchers from other universities in Sweden and abroad visit the station each year. In addition to research, education is a major part of the activities at Tjärnö Marine Laboratory, and many students from Gothenburg University, other universities and secondary schools come to the station for shorter or longer stays. As a Station Technician, you will work with everything from large to smaller projects within comprehensive solutions for electrical and control equipment for switchgear and power stations. This includes work with renovation and new construction of stations, switchgear, and other power stations. Some of your main work tasks: Electrical assembly work with construction of regional and backbone network stations as well as electrical installations within power grids and industry. Voltage levels 0.4 KV – 400 KV Document and report on the progress of work Contribute to safe work in the field for yourself and your colleagues Travel is a natural part of the work as a Station Technician. Those working on larger projects travel longer distances where overnight stays occur, most often commuting from home weekly and working through Friday.
