As a design engineer within Project Technology Overhead Lines, you are a central part of making our projects real from early investigations to completed facility. At the same time, you help develop how Svenska kraftnät works with overhead line design, both in projects and in operations. You normally work in 3-5 projects in different active phases and often in development work that interests you. About the Role The IT Technician Datacenter role is varied and combines both operational and tactical tasks. Senior Project Manager, Operations Projects

Kafka Platform Specialist
Svenska kraftnät is a key player in the energy transition. Our IT division is growing to enable doubled electricity production and a fossil-free future. About the Role As a Kafka Platform Specialist, you will manage and develop systems that are critical to the Swedish electricity market. You will become part of the Integration Unit, which is responsible for Svenska kraftnät's integration platforms and communication solutions for the electrical industry. Together, you will ensure that the country neither loses power nor stops, and you will create conditions for Sweden's future electrification and enabling of green electricity. The integration platforms have high demands on security, performance, and availability. It is a modern architecture with microservices, and you will share operational responsibility for systems in a high rate of change. Key Responsibilities: Further develop our integration capabilities: Take responsibility for the development of the Kafka platform and contribute expertise in architecture, security, scalability, and integration. Incident management and problem-solving: In close collaboration with the 24/7 system monitoring function, analyze, resolve, and document incidents and problems. Act as a specialist: Be the primary point of contact for system-specific questions and share your expertise internally. Support operations: Provide important support to the business and external partners. Implement changes and improvements: Handle requests, maintenance, and upgrades. Document and specify technical requirements: Work with the team to ensure efficient documentation and long-term management. Ensure IT security, high availability, and quality. About You Mandatory Requirements: We are looking for someone who enjoys working with others and has a natural ability to collaborate—within the team, with adjacent teams, and with various stakeholders. Fluent Swedish and good English, spoken and written. We consider it advantageous if you have experience with: Working with Kafka in on-premises environments. Container technology (Docker, Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes platforms, such as OpenShift). Kafka Streams, such as Schema Registry and Mirror Maker. Automation through CI/CD solutions and DevOps tools. Security mechanisms in Kafka. Certification in Kafka or related technologies. Managing high availability and scalability in distributed systems, such as through KRaft and its role in Kafka clusters.
