Primary School Teacher in Textile Crafts Grades 3-9 50%

We are looking for you who is a certified teacher in crafts, primarily with experience in teaching textile crafts. The position is 50% with a start as soon as possible and involves teaching grades 3-9. We offer a position at Casa Montessori in Partille. The school is the municipality's only independent school and we have a preschool, preparatory class, grades 1-9 and after-school care, altogether approximately 225 children/students. Casa Montessori in Partille has been operating for more than thirty years. The school is based on Maria Montessori's pedagogy and this is evident, among other things, in that certain classes work with mixed ages in groups of approximately 20 children/students. Our children and students are trained to become independent and self-directed with confidence in their own ability to handle situations that arise in life. The school's student support services, which include a school psychologist, counselor, special education teacher, and school nurse, provide additional support. What do we expect from you? We are looking for you who is an engaged teacher with qualifications to teach textile crafts. We hope that you have a pedagogical university education and experience working in primary school. Training in Montessori pedagogy is an asset. You will work with small student groups (approximately 10/group in crafts) in grades 3-9 and contribute to both their knowledge and social development by working to build good relationships between children and adults.
