Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people and clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified nursing and motivational work and with providing support in daily life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to implementing treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our procedures and participate in ensuring that daily activities run smoothly, including schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. Being a contact person is also one of your responsibilities. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in a difficult life situation. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied. Qualifications for Treatment Pedagogue To succeed in your work, you have a firmly grounded positive view of humanity. Furthermore, you have a strong ability to create engagement and participation among our young people. As a person, you are confident and find it easy to build relationships with young people as well as with others in the team. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can handle conflicts in a constructive way. You should also have: Degree from a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or education from a university that we assess as equivalent Category B driver's license Good Swedish in speech and writing At SiS, we value good teamwork. Care Educator, 24-Hour Shifts, Temporary/On-Call Position
About the Workplace Our facility is located in a beautiful natural setting in northwestern Scania. We welcome girls aged 15-21 years who are placed under the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Special Provisions Concerning Care of Young People (LVU). At Åsbo, we offer individual care (one-to-one) for girls who need a smaller setting and more comprehensive support. In collaboration with social services, we have the ability to customize the arrangement around the specific young person. Our treatment work is based on evidence-based methods where Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) are central components. Your Role As a care educator, you will work individually with the young person to provide support and care in daily life. The goal is to establish a secure relationship where the young person is willing and able to receive the support offered. You will be part of a team that works together on plans for the young person, and our vision is that despite working alone, you will not feel isolated. Job duties include practical tasks such as support with activities of daily living (ADL), cooking, cleaning, medication management, community contacts, and transportation. An important aspect is to motivate the young person to develop their unique strengths and build competence. You also play a role in promoting an active and meaningful leisure time, which requires energy and the ability to inspire. The work includes documentation. Qualifications To be qualified for the position with us, you must have: At least two years of post-secondary education in areas such as social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science. Based on the target group and their needs, we welcome only female applicants for this position. Experience with the target group is advantageous, as is knowledge of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and knowledge of Neuropsychiatric conditions (NPF). We expect you to be warm and empathetic, a team player with a positive view of people's capacity for change. Furthermore, you should be patient, confident in yourself, and have the ability to handle conflicts in a constructive manner and remain calm in stressful situations. Computer skills and experience with documentation are important, which means you should have strong abilities to communicate both verbally and in writing. Other Information Start date by agreement. Irregular working hours in the form of 24-hour shifts distributed over both weekdays and weekends. We require a criminal record check before employment.
