1 position. Your workplace The public library operations in Härryda Municipality consist of four library units. The main library is located in Mölnlycke Cultural Center, and the library in Landvetter is located in Landvetter Cultural Center. The libraries in Rävlanda and Hindås are self-service facilities. The public libraries are well-visited and offer many activities. The program offering is varied and is planned together with the municipality's culture unit. Landvetter Cultural Center is centrally located and is a thriving cultural hub visited year-round. The center offers everything from storytelling hours, book clubs, concerts, performing arts, cultural school instruction, open studios, and much more. Your assignment We welcome applications for the position of coordinating librarian, based at Landvetter Library. The library is located in beautiful facilities in Landvetter Cultural Center. The assignment involves both a coordinating role with a focus on management and work as a librarian. Working closely with the unit manager, you will lead and coordinate operations at Landvetter Library. You will, among other things, drive development work and provide support, coaching, and guidance to colleagues as needed. The role involves you fulfilling a central function in collaboration with other units in the building, such as the culture unit and cultural school. Together with the unit manager and administrator, you will be part of the library's management group. You will also work on processes affecting the entire public library operations in the municipality. Your duties as a librarian include work with program activities and reading promotion initiatives, as well as service at the library's information desks. You will meet and guide visitors of all ages, but in program activities and reading promotion work, your focus will be on an adult target audience. You will also work proactively with the library's priority groups. What this position requires You have education in library and information science and work experience from the library sector. You also have work experience in a coordinating or management role. You speak and write Swedish well and have good IT skills. It is a merit if you have completed some type of management training. To obtain employment, a certificate from the Police Registry of Convictions must be provided. An extract from the suspicion register may also be required depending on the position.
