Nurse at Arvidsjaur Health Center

What we are looking for We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing at C1 level and computer skills. It is meritorious if you have specialist training as a district nurse, or education and experience working with your own practice within asthma/COPD, hypertension management, diabetes, heart failure, and/or blood pressure. Previous experience working at a health center, with coordination, or with primary mental health issues is also meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You are self-directed, proactive, and well-organized. The health center consists of cross-functional competencies that all work together with the patient at the center, a working method that requires good collaboration skills from staff. What you will work with Arvidsjaur Health Center is a rural health center with a doctor's office, district nurse, nurse, and assistant nurse practice, a psychosocial team with counseling services, maternal and child health care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, foot care, as well as laboratory and X-ray services. In addition, we also have 24-hour operations with an emergency clinic and a general medical ward with 6 beds. The health center also houses an ambulance station that partially works integrated into our operations. At the clinic, we work in teams around patients. In the team, you work as a nurse together with a doctor, assistant nurse, ward administrator/medical secretary, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist with the patient at the center. In primary care, we are the hub of the patient's care and we work with a focus on continuity; therefore, care coordination and fixed care contacts are central. The tasks included in the work as a clinic nurse include, among other things, advice, digital and by phone, coordination and booking, emergency clinic services, and clinic visits. During scheduled clinic hours, you handle things such as wound dressing changes, care of central catheters, central access devices and stomas, as well as medication administration. You also have open clinic hours where you meet and assess patients with newly occurring complaints. As a nurse in primary care, you are also responsible for annual check-ups and follow-up of patients with our most common diagnoses. All nurses have follow-up visits for hypertension, and you will also have the opportunity to specialize in, for example, diabetes, asthma/COPD, heart failure, or anticoagulation. What you will work with Arvidsjaur Health Center is a rural health center with approximately 6,150 listed residents. The health center has a physician clinic, district nurse, nurse and assistant nurse clinic, psychosocial team with counseling, maternal and child health care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, foot care as well as laboratory and x-ray. The health center also has an ambulance station that partially works integrated into our operations. Arvidsjaur Health Center is a well-functioning rural health center with engaged colleagues, strong team spirit and high medical expertise. We work in multidisciplinary teams with focus on continuity, quality and a good work environment. We meet the goal 1/1100 and can provide close supervision when needed. As an ST physician, you are part of the team with your own listed patients. The physician's role in primary care is to provide broad medical assessment, diagnosis and treatment based on the patient's entire life situation. The assignment includes continuity, coordination of care efforts and being the patient's medical lead responsible over time. The physician shall also work preventatively and prioritize the correct level of care for best effect and patient safety. At Arvidsjaur Health Center, you get the opportunity to work broadly, independently and close to your patients. Here general medicine is not just a job – it is the core of care and an important part of society. In addition to primary care, we also have a general medicine ward with 6 beds rounded by our district physicians and ST physicians.
