WORK DUTIES We are now accepting expressions of interest from those who wish to work as nursing assistants, care workers, personal assistants, or residential counselors in our operations. The work involves assisting service users in their daily lives with everything that entails. In addition to helping with hygiene, care, and household tasks, the work includes socializing and enriching service users' lives. The work includes documentation as required by law. We are seeking substitutes for: • Residential Care Facilities Also called elderly care homes and are located at several different places in the municipality (Järpen, Mörsil, Kall, Hallen, and Duved). • Home Care Service Within home care, you provide service and care to elderly and ill individuals in their own homes. You travel between assignments using a service vehicle. Here you can also work night shifts with the night patrol. • Residential Care with Special Services You work in our residential care facilities with special services in Järpen and support residents with planning and implementation of daily activities based on an individually designed implementation plan. You may work with individuals with behavioral problems and psychiatric diagnoses. • Personal Assistance We have various assignments in Järpen and Hallen where you work around the clock at the homes of individuals receiving support. You complement where the functional limitation sets boundaries and work based on the individual's conditions and wishes. QUALIFICATIONS It is important to be attentive, flexible, and genuinely interested in people. You must be able to see, listen to, and acknowledge the people you meet. Collaborating and contributing to a positive work environment among colleagues is a given for you. You must be able to read, speak, and express yourself in writing in Swedish fluently. Experience and/or education in care is a merit. For home care service, residential care with special services, and personal assistance, a valid B driver's license is required. To work with us, you must provide a criminal record check for work with elderly or adults with disabilities in their homes before starting employment. JOB DUTIES As a nursing assistant at Åre Municipality, you are an important part of creating security, quality of life, and meaning for people in their daily lives. You work with individually tailored care and support where the individual's integrity, self-determination, and participation are central. You provide personal care based on individual needs and perform delegated health and medical care tasks, such as specific care and rehabilitation. Documentation in our management systems is also an important part of the work to ensure good quality and continuity in care. Positions exist within several of the municipality's operations and include day, evening, and night shifts. In your application, you have the opportunity to indicate which geographic areas or operations you prefer to work in, as well as whether you prefer day/evening or night shifts. We consider your preferences, while placement is based on operational needs. Positions are full-time, with the possibility to request a different employment level. QUALIFICATIONS Nursing Assistants • We are looking for you who have proof of the right to use the professional title nursing assistant according to Socialstyrelsen or you who are awaiting your professional title. • It is a merit if you have a few years of experience working as a nursing assistant in elderly care, you have worked with medications and are expected to be able to have delegation for, among other things, insulin, and feel confident and independent in making decisions in your professional role. • You can document what is relevant in a clear and thorough manner, in accordance with the workplace's procedures and health care and social services legislation. • Since documentation and medication management are important parts of the professional role, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. • A driver's license is required to work in home care; for work in special housing it is a merit but not a requirement.
