The Community Development Administration plays a key role in the municipality's development and consists of three collaborative departments: Citizen Services, Strategic Community Planning, and the Technical Department. Our areas of responsibility range from long-term community planning, culture, recreation, and business matters to operation and development of the municipality's water and wastewater systems, waste management, and property. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES Our technical department consists of operations in sanitation, water/wastewater, projects and investment, and property. We are now seeking an engineer specializing in sanitation. The sanitation unit currently consists of four sanitation engineers, three sanitation case officers, and a unit manager. We're looking for someone driven to contribute to developing the future of waste management. You will work together in an efficient, pleasant, and relaxed team on tasks including: • Waste prevention measures • Request matters, permit issues, and dialogue with permit authorities • Sanitation fees • Assist the manager in preparing project and budget materials • Assist in procurement, contract matters, and financial investigations • Administrative and practical tasks within the sanitation department's mission • Information, communication, presentations, and customer contacts You will represent Åre Municipality both internally and externally and are expected to actively contribute to positive development of the municipality's sanitation services and brand. QUALIFICATIONS • We're looking for someone with a strong interest in waste management and environmental issues • You have an engineering degree or similar education in technology, environment, or civil engineering • It is advantageous if you have several years of experience in the sanitation field • It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of and have worked with GIS • Having a driver's license is also a plus • Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written You have good collaboration skills demonstrated through an unpretentious work style. You need to be able to plan, structure, and complete your projects and tasks on time in a way that benefits the operations. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
