DUTIES We are looking for an engaged and experienced special education teacher who wants to be part of developing our support initiatives and make a concrete difference for our students. As a special education teacher with us, you work closely with students, teachers, teams, and student health services. The role involves both teaching and responsibility for working together with other professionals to create the right conditions for students needing support. The role includes, among other things: • teaching and providing specialized educational support to students individually, in small groups, and in close connection with regular instruction • working preventively and supportively together with teachers and teams • conducting pedagogical assessments and investigations of students' need for specialized support • developing, following up on, and evaluating support plans • monitoring and analyzing students' knowledge development and contributing to implementing the right interventions based on identified needs • contributing special education expertise to the school's student health work • collaborating with guardians, teachers, student health services, and other relevant professionals • contributing to the development of accessible learning environments and instruction that meet students' diverse needs We would like you to be a certified teacher for elementary school in Swedish and/or mathematics, as these areas are central to our work with students' knowledge development. QUALIFICATIONS A role shaped according to your competence. We are currently in a development phase where we are reviewing how our special education work is best organized. Therefore, not all parts of the position's responsibilities are predetermined. Depending on your competence, experience, and profile, you may have an overall special education teacher responsibility with a focus on grades 4–6, where you will also have a coordinating role regarding our smaller teaching group, or corresponding responsibility with a focus on grades 7–9. For us, it is important to use the right competence in the right place. Together, we will therefore shape the role's specific focus based on the school's needs and the competence you bring. We are looking for you who are educated as a special education teacher and who have experience working as a teacher. We would like you to: • be a certified teacher with qualifications in Swedish and/or mathematics, preferably with experience from grades 4–9 • have a special education teacher degree • have experience with pedagogical assessments, investigations, and support plans • have a good understanding of students' diverse needs and how instruction and support can be organized to meet these • have strong didactic ability and experience teaching students needing support • work structurally and can plan, document, follow up on, and evaluate interventions • be confident in collaboration with teachers, guardians, and various professionals within student health services • be able to see both the individual student's needs and the importance of instruction and organization for the student's opportunity to succeed As a person, you are relationship-building, solution-focused, and confident in your profession.
