Project Procurement Specialist at Siemens Energy

Your Responsibilities As a Project Procurement Specialist within Siemens Energy's Project Procurement organization, you will be responsible for procurement within project frameworks and serve as a central function in the supply chain. You'll become part of a dedicated team with both junior and senior colleagues, where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvements are an integral part of daily operations. The role involves numerous contact points and close collaboration with both internal functions and external suppliers worldwide. You will work according to established processes while also handling more complex and time-critical matters. Your responsibilities will include: Negotiating and managing project-specific purchase orders based on established terms, price lists, and agreements Ensuring compliance with company procurement policies, guidelines, and procedures Managing and developing supplier relationships while ensuring structured and professional communication Monitoring delivery accuracy and handling delivery discrepancies that may impact operations Working closely with projects, engineering, logistics, and other procurement functions Driving and participating in improvement initiatives within procurement processes and supply chain Preparing and administering purchase orders in SAP Actively contributing to Siemens Energy's digital transformation journey Your Profile We are looking for someone with procurement experience who thrives in an international and dynamic environment. You are accustomed to taking responsibility for your supplier base and have a good understanding of both commercial and financial aspects of procurement work. This is a full-time position initially covering 1 year with the possibility of extension. About the Role This is a broad and varied role where you will work both operationally and developmentally within procurement and logistics. An important part of the role involves creating better structure and forward planning in procurement work. The company currently sees a strong need to further develop forward planning and scheduling within procurement to strengthen delivery reliability and create even better workflows going forward.
