Duties Within your area of competence, the nurse's duties are to investigate and assess health problems based on the patient's functional disability, and plan and carry out interventions to give the patient increased opportunities to improve and/or maintain their health. Your Assignment As a diabetes nurse, you will work independently with your own clinic, primarily serving patients with type 2 diabetes.
