Language Course Instructor, Borås

Folkuniversitetet offers day and evening courses as well as lectures in areas such as languages, economics, communication, writing, and aesthetic subjects. Our courses are primarily aimed at individuals, but also at associations and companies. About the Position We are seeking course instructors in languages, particularly in Italian, French, Latin, and Korean, but other languages are also of interest. Our courses are primarily held in the evenings, but daytime and weekend courses may also be available, both at our facilities in Borås and online. You will independently plan and conduct your courses as well as follow up and record attendance. Your Competence and Background We are looking for someone with very good knowledge of the relevant language and an interest in cultural and social issues related to the country/region where the language is spoken. You should also have good knowledge of Swedish. It is an advantage if you have training and experience in teaching adults or other experience leading groups of adults. As a course leader at Folkuniversitetet, you are expected to have the ability to tailor instruction to individual needs and bring out each person's potential. It is important that you enjoy sharing knowledge and that you see the positive aspects of course participants' development. You are flexible, attentive, and well-organized, and have experience working independently. We also expect you to share our view on people's equal worth and right to knowledge. Employment Terms The position is a project-based employment (employment per course) with compensation per study hour. Planning takes place in close collaboration with responsible personnel at Folkuniversitetet.
