Academic Position Competition
LBTU-derived public entity "Agroresources and Economics Institute" (AREI) announces a competition for an academic position in the Field Crops Breeding and Agroecology Department at the Priekuļi branch (address: Zinātnes iela 2, Priekuļi, Priekuļu pagasts, Cēsu novads, LV-4126):
Research Assistant with specialization in plant physiology, plant tissue culture, and microorganism research – 1 position
Requirements for candidates:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Biology, Agriculture, or other natural sciences;
- Experience in scientific research projects;
- Foreign language proficiency (English language knowledge is mandatory) – necessary for communication with international cooperation partners, comprehensive and high-quality scientific research (international projects, publications in English).

Until the regular scientific achievement evaluation, the minimum hourly rate is from 4.86 EUR/hour before taxes provided for in the regulatory acts in force in the Republic of Latvia;
- opportunity to significantly increase remuneration by attracting funds for research project implementation;
- social guarantees, including health insurance.
