We work in newly renovated facilities and offer education in seven of the upper secondary school's vocational preparatory programs as well as introductory programs. We are now offering a position as a teacher in the Vehicle and Transportation Program. Jacobsskolan is part of Motorbranschcollege (MBC), which means close collaboration with the automotive industry and quality-assured work with the educational content and development. At Jacobsskolan, we work based on trust with the student and their learning in focus. You will be part of a work team consisting of teachers in upper secondary general subjects and vocational subjects. Together, you will work toward the students' achievement of their goals. You will also work together with other vocational teachers in program teams where you collectively develop teaching in your program. Beyond the teaching role, you will serve as a mentor for students in the Vehicle and Transportation Program. In your mentor role, you will follow the student's knowledge development and study situation. Here you have the opportunity to be part of developing the school's activities through our systematic quality work. Together with your work team, you will work on the school's priority areas in the curriculum. This is a permanent position starting January 7, 2027. We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach in the Vehicle and Transportation Program. However, we also welcome applicants who are in training to become a vocational teacher or have several years of experience from the industry. Experience teaching in the upper secondary school's vocational preparatory programs is considered an advantage. To complement our work team, we would particularly like someone who has taught in or has experience and knowledge as a passenger car mechanic. You are relationship-building and work from an inclusive approach with a focus on an accessible learning environment that adapts to our students' needs and circumstances. You are good at collaboration and are expected to participate actively in the program team, work team, and maintain close collaboration with the school's other professionals such as student welfare services. You believe in the student's ability and your starting point when meeting students is to find the experiences and knowledge that are the student's assets. You enjoy working in multicultural environments and are inspired by new knowledge and experiences. We expect you to have good IT skills. Since you will be part of a work team, we consider it self-evident that you see your colleagues as an asset and that you view collaboration as a natural part of your work. In your role as a teacher, you take responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching with anchoring in the school's governing documents. For this job, you need a Category B driver's license. The position requires very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, as you need to be able to communicate freely with students and teachers.
