JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities will consist of teaching and mentoring students where you highlight the subjects through creative and practical instruction. You work with digital tools. You are responsible for students' learning and development through teaching and support. You do this by starting from each student's specific knowledge and conditions. Your role as a teacher also includes customary teaching duties such as mentoring, program-wide activities, planning, evaluation, and grading. You are expected to drive continuous development work within the subjects and work team. The assignment also includes business contacts and visiting students during their practical placements.
QUALIFICATIONS
At Katrineholm Technical College, we are primarily looking for you who are a certified vocational teacher. We also welcome applications from those who have solid professional experience and are active in the industry, but are interested in taking the step into the teaching profession. Pedagogical education is a merit.
You have good industry knowledge and several years of professional experience in the field. Experience teaching at upper secondary level is a merit, as is experience with AutoCAD. The position requires good IT skills, a category B driver's license, and a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Since the position involves close contact and collaboration with businesses, we would like you to have an established network and good relationships within the industry.
As a person, you are initiative-taking, start activities, and achieve desired results. You have the ability to argue for and explain why activities should and can be implemented. Furthermore, you easily adapt to changed circumstances in your work approach when conditions change. In collaboration with others, you are attentive and notice others' viewpoints and competence and give them space in the group in a way that benefits the whole. You help clarify for the group its work tasks and goals and share your knowledge.
