Brogymnasiet is organizationally under the School Administration, whose responsibilities include activities for children from one year through upper secondary school. Activities include school administration, preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, and cultural school. Brogymnasiet offers the programs FT, IN, VO, EE, EK, HA, NA, SA, TE, and IM. The school has approximately 600 students and 70 employees. DUTIES Your main task will be to plan and conduct instruction in our rail technology program. Instruction takes place in both practical and theoretical lessons on the structure, components and function of rail vehicles. In addition to designing your own instruction, modules and input from partners can be scheduled. You also plan and follow up workplace-based learning for students in the program. You will collaborate with other teachers at the school, which gives you the opportunity to develop as a teacher. Together with employees in various professions, you will take responsibility for developing the organization so that each student is given the best possible conditions for development and learning. Mentoring is part of the position and is an important part of work with students. QUALIFICATIONS Formal Competencies We are looking for you who have solid experience in rail mechanics or related competence in industry or heavy vehicle mechanics. The experience should give you systems understanding relevant to maintenance and repair of rail vehicles including measurement and troubleshooting methods. You should have experience in electrical engineering and electronics. You should also have the ability to read and use technical documentation and drawings in English and Swedish. You should also have good knowledge of safety work and be able to assess risks in work and instruction related to rail-bound vehicles. We assume that you have good computer skills for documentation and preparation of instructional materials. Other valued competencies: • Experience in preventive and condition-based maintenance. • Competence in digital systems in rail-bound vehicles. • Experience with traffic safety systems such as ATC and/or ERTMS. • Work with PLC programming or control technology applications. • Experience in training or mentoring within technical occupational fields. You possess good pedagogical insight that allows you to explain complex technical systems in an understandable way and adapt your instruction to the needs of the student group. As a person, you are highly self-directed and take great responsibility for driving your processes forward, while your strong initiative makes you see opportunities for improvement and act on them. The work requires that you are structured in your planning and documentation, but since the daily routine in an educational environment can change quickly, we also see that you are flexible and able to adapt. Through clear and secure leadership, you create a learning environment that inspires your students, and your good collaboration skills make you an appreciated colleague who actively contributes to the entire teaching team's development. You have the ability to analyze and reflect on your own efforts and the content of the organization. Employment Form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-04-20. Teacher certification is required for permanent employment, but during an interview we can discuss how we can offer permanent employment through education in the long term. This position is a vacation-relief position.
