About the School Praktiska Gymnasiet Ystad offers students a concept where theory alternates with practical exercises both at school and at workplaces. At Praktiska, we set high standards for ourselves to create the best conditions for engaging and rewarding education. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, accessibility, and practical learning. Our program offerings include: carpentry, painting, construction, electrical work, plumbing, refrigeration, hairdressing, barbering, styling, sales, and nursing assistant. You will teach and mentor our students in the Electrical and Energy Program and work as part of a team with other colleagues. We see you as an important and driving force who, with students at the center and in collaboration with colleagues, will help develop both the program and the subject. In addition to job-specific tasks, you will, like other teachers at school, serve as a mentor and together with your colleagues coach students both socially and academically throughout their three years at Praktiska Gymnasiet. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, StudyBee, and we work in a Google environment through shared digital documents, calendars, and planning. Your Profile We are primarily seeking someone who is a certified vocational instructor or has extensive expertise and experience in electrical work, or has knowledge in IT/automation/networking/alarms, etc. It is an advantage if you have prior experience teaching at the gymnasium level. You will perform standard tasks such as planning and documentation, as well as maintain contact with industry partners, since students' studies include work-based learning (APL), making good communication with employers valuable. You are passionate about educating young people and have every student's best interests in focus.
