Do you want meaningful work tasks that make a difference in people's lives? Welcome to a municipality that is far from ordinary! The Employment and Adult Education Administration works to enable more Botkyrka residents to achieve self-sufficiency through work, studies, or other paths to an independent life. The administration is responsible for the municipality's employment initiatives, day activities, adult education (komvux), vocational higher education, and study and career guidance. At the turn of the year, upper secondary school will become part of the administration, strengthening the connection between education, the labor market, and skills provision. The administration has approximately 400 employees and will grow to nearly 800 after the turn of the year. Through collaboration with businesses, educational providers, and other actors, we develop activities that meet both individual and labor market needs. Xenter is the administration's vocational higher education provider and offers post-secondary education with a clear connection to working life. Here, students gain knowledge and skills that prepare them for their future careers. The Position and Responsibilities Do you want to make a real difference for people who need support finding their way toward studies, work, and self-sufficiency? We are seeking a coordinator for adult education. Here you will meet students with different backgrounds and life situations, where the path to studies, work, and self-sufficiency sometimes requires support from multiple sources. As a coordinator, you coordinate support around the student and create a clear path forward. You work closely with the educational activities and collaborate with other actors to help students find the right interventions and receive proper support on their journey toward studies, work, and self-sufficiency. In this role, you follow students from assessment and planning through follow-up. You assess needs, identify obstacles, and coordinate interventions together with the student and relevant actors. You are part of a special education team and work closely with teachers and other functions within adult education as well as with, for example, the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen), social services, healthcare, and the municipality's employment initiatives. You work both at the individual level and on developing working methods and support structures for the target group. Your main responsibilities: - Follow students from assessment and planning through follow-up - Provide support to students who need coordinated interventions - Plan, coordinate, and follow up on interventions together with the student and relevant actors - Prepare and participate in meetings with students and other actors - Collaborate with teachers regarding the student's attendance, progress, and study situation - Identify obstacles to studies and labor market establishment and contribute to solutions - Document and follow up on agreed-upon interventions - Contribute to developing working methods, procedures, and support structures for the target group Our students study Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), but have different needs and circumstances alongside their studies. For many, the path to work and self-sufficiency may involve contact with several public agencies. As a coordinator, you contribute to creating a clearer path forward and ensuring that support around the student is coherent. What We Offer Work with us is characterized by openness, responsibility, courage, and commitment, as well as a willingness to try new working methods and develop together with others. You will become part of an engaged team where collaboration, development, and the student's best interests guide daily work. The position offers meaningful and varied work where you have the opportunity to make a concrete difference for people on their journey toward studies, work, and self-sufficiency. About You Requirements: You have an academic degree as a social worker or in behavioral science, pedagogy, or public health. You have several years of experience working with individuals who are far from the labor market and have need for coordinated support. Additional requirements: - Several years of experience meeting people with complex or multifaceted needs. - Several years of experience coordinating interventions and collaborating with authorities and other organizations. - Experience documenting, planning, and following up on individualized interventions. - Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. It is advantageous if you have: - A degree as a social worker. - Previous experience as a coordinator/coordinator - Knowledge of adult education organization and SFI's various study paths. - Experience with employment initiatives, work-directed rehabilitation, or Supported Employment. - Experience with Case Management or similar individual-focused coordination work. - Experience working with newly arrived persons or those in establishment processes. - B-class driver's license - Good knowledge of Arabic or Dari. - Experience working in multicultural environments and with people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds. To succeed in this role, you need to be confident working independently and taking responsibility for moving your cases forward. You enjoy meeting people and easily build trust, even when motivation wanes or situations are complex. You understand that the path to work or self-sufficiency can look different for each person and can work with the individual to find realistic steps forward. The role requires you to manage multiple interventions and contacts simultaneously without losing focus on the individual's needs. You are organized in your working approach, follow up on what has been planned, and ensure that agreed-upon interventions move forward. At the same time, you are responsive and can adapt your support when circumstances change. You are clear in your contact with other actors, can capture different perspectives, and contribute to creating a joint plan around the student. In this role, we place great emphasis on personal competencies.
