Stockholms Sjukhem is one of Sweden's largest not-for-profit healthcare providers. We deliver healthcare and care services on a non-profit basis and offer a wide range of services within palliative care, rehabilitation, geriatrics, and elderly care. We are now seeking a unit manager who wants to lead and develop our inpatient ward specializing in specialized palliative care (SPSV) in Bromma. The ward opened in 2024 and has since welcomed and cared for patients and their loved ones with great warmth and professionalism. The role of unit manager – an assignment with significant influence As a unit manager, you have overall responsibility for your unit. You report to the operations manager and are part of the leadership team for palliative care alongside other managers. You lead both strategic and operational work and translate the organization's goals into practical action. We are on an exciting journey where we together drive and develop palliative care within Stockholms Sjukhem. Main areas of responsibility: Your assignment is to lead, plan, follow up, develop, and ensure quality in operations based on Stockholms Sjukhem's value foundation, management systems, goals, and policies. As a unit manager, you represent Stockholms Sjukhem, sharing and communicating vision, operational ideas, and strategies. You have responsibility for personnel, work environment, quality, and budget. You act as a unifying force for your staff with approachable and clear leadership. In this role, you are expected to create good collaborations and relationships both externally and internally with management colleagues and other departments at Stockholms Sjukhem. In your work, you will be supported by an accessible operations manager and support functions in finance and HR. Could you be our new colleague? Requirements for the position: Licensed nurse or other healthcare education and experience deemed equivalent Two to three years of documented management experience in healthcare Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Meritorious qualifications: Leadership training Experience in palliative care Experience with budget and financial work We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
