We are looking for you who are interested in working as a personal assistant to a wheelchair user man in his 30s with cerebral palsy. Physical presence and practical support are required, but also a sense of when to be helpful – and when to simply be there. You don't need to have previous experience, but you should be confident, attentive, and have a good sense of integrity.
He lives in Gislaved with his family. There is a dog in the home. The working hours are mostly daytime, weekdays. In your role as an assistant, you will make a difference in his life. Are you a confident and relaxed person who wants to work closely with another person – without getting stuck in rigid routines and hospital environments? Then this might be right for you.
The work includes everything from care, personal hygiene, transfers, use of various aids, exercise, assistance with activities, as well as accompanying him to day programs, etc. He is functionally blind, can see a small percentage, and it will also require that as a personal assistant you can provide verbal sight interpretation. The workplace is in his home, day program facilities, and wherever he may be. The working hours are mostly daytime, Monday-Friday.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, empathetic, and calm in your manner, and who can take responsibility without becoming controlling. This is a job for you who enjoy working independently, but who always puts another person's needs at the center. You have a genuine interest and sense of care for people.
You must be able to speak fluent Swedish as this is a job where good communication is very important.
